If you’re still interested in contributing supplies to Back to School FDL and have missed the supply drive at your church or business, you will have another opportunity.

If you’re still interested in contributing supplies to Back to School FDL and have missed the supply drive at your church or business, you will have another opportunity to drop off donations at the Fill the Bus event that will be held on August 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Fleet Farm parking lot on Military Road or at Walmart on Rolling Meadows Drive. Individuals dropping off school supplies at the Fleet Farm location will be treated to a root beer float courtesy of A&W restaurant.

If your organization is interested in hosting a supply drive, there’s still time before the Back to School’s distribution day on August 24. The supply team will accept donations until August 16 when they will need to sort and organize the supplies in preparation for the Back to School shopping experience. Posters to publicize the drive are available for downloading (in English or Spanish versions) under the website’s Publicity menu at www.backtoschoolfdl.org Tips for hosting a supply drive are also available for download. Photos of your drive can be shared with us for possible posting on Back to School FDL’s Facebook page. Click on the little envelope [email protected], on the main page, write a caption, and attach the photo.

Monetary donations to support the distribution of thousands of free school supplies to students in need can be mailed to Back to School FDL, P. O. Box 1747, Fond du Lac WI 54936-1747. Another convenient way to donate is the online PayPal option under the Funding menu on the website. All donors will receive a thank you and a statement that their donation is tax-deductible.

Volunteers interested in helping out again or for the first time, can go to our website and click on Volunteer Opportunities under the Volunteer tab and view some of the volunteer opportunities or sign up to help.

Back to School FDL is a program that works for students in our community and has been working for over 20 years. It is a collaboration of local agencies, businesses, churches, and community members dedicated to making sure that any local student needing assistance with obtaining school supplies receives it.
