Soon you’ll be seeing Back to School FDL volunteers around town working to collect supplies for Back to School FDL Distribution Day.

This will provide you with several opportunities to be a part of a project that supports others and helps children feel prepared for the start of the school year.

Please watch for the dates and times of the Fill the Bus campaign in either late July or August. Due to Shopko’s closing, we’re still exploring alternate locations for places to park the bus. Area churches and local businesses will also be conducting their own drives by having collection points for school supplies in their buildings.

If you or someone you know is eligible for this supply give-away, please remember that registration will be a 2-day sign-up at the Salvation Army. You may register on either Saturday, August 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or Monday, August 5 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. There will be several trained volunteers assisting on those days who will be able to answer questions about eligibility and Distribution Day.
